Just back from a short break away to Spain. Apart from taking the usual pictures of the kids, I couldn’t resist taking some pictures of these lemons for my food/still life portfolio. I normally shoot my still life in the studio using controlled lighting, however these were taken on location by the edge of the swimming pool using a pool of sunlight created by a palm tree behind. I used a black flag to the left to creating some additional shadow.
For fun, I also photographed the lemons in the swimming pool. I love the combination of the patten in the pool and the contrast between the yellow of the lemons and the deep blue of the swimming pool .
